This is my submission to aruarian-dancer's Young Artist Contest! [link]
inspired by "Off I Go" by Greg Laswell (listened to it while painting) I chose symbolism. The hot-air balloons always reminded me of a happy thing to go on (even though i never did), because it feels like you leave the human world, and enter the Bird's Land. Just as some don't like crows, particularly scarecrows, I can gather that crows don't like us either. Well anyway, it was a fun project with lots of anger and jubilance, so tell me what you get from it... BTW, it's mixed media. ..in order of the majority used... Reeves Gouache Bienfang Watercolor Pens Daler~Rowney system3 Acrylic Paint: Titanium White Staedtler Pigment Pens (0.1, 0.3, 0.5, 0.7) Lots of Various Brushes, Fingers, and Rags all on Strathmore 140lb. Cold-Press 11"x15" in. Watercolor paper I am really glad i did this, and it really made me learn a lot of new techniques... |
